Neasden, north of Willesden, not fully built up until between the wars, sliced through by the North Circular Road of 1921 and by the underpasses beneath it created in the 1970s. Private Eye did it less than justice in singling it out as the archetypal undistinguished suburb, for Neasden has a little more of interest than some of its neighbours. Interesting places in Neasden include: St Catherine, Dudden Hill Lane, Neasden 1916 by J. S. Alder, with a dreary west front of 1954 by E. B. Glanfield.

The Grange (local history museum), Neasden Lane. Former outbuildings of The Grove (demolished), unhappily stranded on a roundabout just south of the North Circular Road. A picturesque two-storey rambling composition, rendered, with Gothic sash windows. The details date from 1806-17, when the buildings were converted to a house for James Hall. Interior entirely remodelled in 1975. Wickham School, Aboyne Road, Neasden 1930 by F. W. Wilkinson. House Clearance Neasden NW2 Rubbish Removal Neasden.
